Cooling Down With Muted Colors

Cooling down with muted colors

From sunrise to sunset, this bedroom promotes a peaceful, good-vibe feeling!

But at first, making a change to a bright color palette can be really intimidating. In fact, it makes some clients want to run and hide in the nearest closet. A lot of people think they need to start with painting walls, and I say that’s the reason it can be so scary for them! Why not take a different approach: introduce your new color palette with bedding, window treatments and a rug or two. By mixing in a few muted colors like these, you can inject just enough color for your wake-up call. To turn the heat down a few more notches, choosing white maple furniture and a brushed nickel finish for lamps are always a great solution. The overall result: a softer, more calm and subdued mood conducive to a good night’s sleep. Now back to that closet…how about trying one of the new colors on for size by painting your walk-in closet? No more boogeyman in this room!
